GHS is seeking a dedicated School Security Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

 

School Security Specialists maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.  This 10-month position, works from September through June on a Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm schedule.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Previous security experience and a background working with children are strongly preferred.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Clearance: Must successfully complete the fingerprinting and criminal history review process.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Vice-Principal

 

JOB GOAL/MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

• Access Control: Monitor building entrances, ensure doors remain locked, and prevent doors from being propped open.
• Visitor Management:Check in guests, facilitate student pick-ups, and receive deliveries.
• Campus Monitoring: Patrol hallways periodically and provide continual supervision during your shift.
• Policy Enforcement: Enforce school rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
