Glassboro Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates in the capacity of a Security Aide at Thomas E Bowe School. This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Strong communication skills. Must be able to mobilize quickly. Evidence of good moral character as determined by reference checks, fingerprint review and observations.
REPORTS TO: Building Principals/Vice Principals
JOB GOAL/MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for providing general security for all building occupants and school district property.
- Monitor all building entrances to ensure physical security of building.
- Maintain log of all visitors to the buildings as assigned by the building administrators.
- Monitor flow of students through halls and report problems to building administrators.
- Respond to building emergencies as requested by the building administrators.
- Patrol regularly corridors, parking lots and other areas as assigned.
- Monitor lunchrooms in assistance to teacher supervisors.
- Monitor restriction room and study halls in assistance to teacher supervisors as directed.
- Monitor administrative detention hall in assistance to teacher supervisors.
- Report daily to the principal the condition of facilities and areas monitored and carry out any follow-up required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a ten (10) month position with salary and contract terms to be negotiated with the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
